Strategic Recovery Solutions for Systems and Individuals
The Transformative Power of Peer Support in Recovery
Our approach
Peer support transforms lives. Grounded in shared experience, it fosters connection, hope, and a practical path toward recovery. Recent research affirms what many in recovery have long known: peer-delivered services can significantly improve outcomes and engagement. At Peer Recovery Consultants, we make peer support more accessible by helping systems design, implement, and sustain recovery-oriented services. We also offer direct support through individual and family coaching and navigation, helping people and their loved ones find clarity, confidence, and connection on their recovery journey.
Our Perspective
Peer support helps real change happen. When people with lived experience are part of the recovery process, services become more honest, more trusted, and more effective. Peer support makes it easier to connect with people, especially those who may not feel comfortable with traditional systems. At Peer Recovery Consultants, we help organizations build recovery services that work—by putting peer support at the center and making sure it’s strong, practical, and built to last. We bring a recovery perspective grounded in shared experience and practical support.
Delivering peer recovery support services
We are a group of peer recovery support specialists with decades of lived experience of addiction recovery and supporting individuals and their families on their recovery journeys. While peer recovery specialists—often called recovery coaches—are now widely utilized in clinical settings, finding and accessing this kind of support in the community is extremely challenging.

“Improving recovery outcomes requires more than expanding services—it calls for a shift in how systems understand, value, and deliver support. Integrating peer perspectives and lived experience into the design of care isn’t optional; it’s essential to meeting the needs of those seeking recovery.”
